A handmade wooden spoon/spurtle comes with it—perfect for stirring the hydrated dough. We’ve made this little kit that will get you well on your way. The O’Brian family supplies the sourdough starter, my dear friend Susan Gellner has made the spoon in her Montana woodshop.

Starter is originally from Paris and then traveled and lived here in Montana. Sourdoughs are old as time and have stories attached to them!
